Preston Ford, located in Hurlock, Maryland, has an exciting contest going on through the end of 2014. A top prize of $1,500 is on the line for any customer of Preston Ford! 
This contest started on since November 10, 2014, and will run through January 2, 2015. So, if you buy a Ford specifically from Preston Ford before that cutoff date then you are halfway to getting an entry in the contest. Once you make your Ford purchase you must post a picture of you and your new Ford on Facebook and “tag” the Preston Frogz page. That officially gives you one entry into the Preston Ford contest. So, if you decide to buy two Ford vehicles from Preston Ford and post a picture of each on Facebook, then you receive two entries. You see how this is going to work now; check out the second way.
The second way to enter is to leave a review on one of four of our websites reviewing your purchase and experience at Preston Ford. The four places you could leave a review are Cars.com, Edmunds, Yelp or Google+. We welcome any type of review because we treat our customers well and if you think we didn’t then we certainly would like to hear about it so we could fix it. More than likely it will be a positive review; but either way – positive or negative – you still get another entry in our contest.
Our contest does have a final way to enter, and you don’t even have to buy a new Ford now to be entered! The final way is to refer a customer who buys a Ford from Preston Ford. This way is interesting because you could have bought a new Ford several years ago and loved our dealership, so we want you to tell people about it! Tell people what wonderful sale consultants we have, what a large selection of vehicles we have, and what a nice facility we have. Because now you could actually win some big prizes for referring people to Preston Ford. So, tell everyone you know that’s looking for a new car to come to Preston Ford now!
What are those big prizes you might ask? Well, here they are. Third place prize is an iPad Air, second place gets a 60” Flatscreen TV, and the top prize is $1,500 cash. Nissan Sentra at Preston Nissan
The Nissan Sentra is consistently a top choice in the compact sedan category. That should continue into 2015 with the next model coming out sometime in December! The Nissan Sentra competes on the highest level of fuel economy for a compact sedan. With capabilities of reaching 40 mpg on the highway, the Sentra is an economy car with perks!
Here at Preston Nissan, we have over 50 Sentra’s in stock right now with our excitement rising about the release of the 2015s! The current Sentra’s are offered in four trim levels: S, SV, SR and SL. The base model comes with a remote keyless entry system, full power accessories and 16” steel wheels among other things. The next step up is the SV, which adds control buttons on the steering wheel and upgraded upholstery. The SR is the sport version and it comes with bolder styling elements including a lower body skirting and a rear spoiler. The SL is the top trim level that has wood-tone accents and dual-zone automatic climate control.
The interior is fairly surprising for what is considered a “small, compact” car. The fact is, many compact sedans now have the interior space and upscale, high-tech features once more commonly associated with larger or more expensive cars. The 2014 Nissan Sentra is a perfect example of this trend. It has large amounts of leg and headroom for four adults to fit comfortably.
Also, part of the interior that people may not always think about is the trunk space, and the Sentra at Preston Nissan has 15.1 cubic feet of space, which is a lot for a compact car.
The biggest draw to the Sentra is its fuel-efficient 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine. It’s one of the smallest engines made for a motor vehicle, but it gets the job done while saving you tons of money at the pump in the process. With gas being cheaper than it has been in years, the Sentra will seemingly cost nothing to fill up the tank. A six-speed manual transmission is standard on the base model S; all other Sentra’s have the continuously variable transmission (CVT) as standard.

This Black Friday is coming up and we are surprising you with amazing giveaways this year! Our Black Friday Celebration will start at 6 AM on Friday, November 26, 2014. Our big-ticket items will be given away to those early bird customers who come between 6-7 AM and then 7-10 AM.
As you can see in the diagram above, customers who arrive between 6-7 AM and take delivery of their purchased vehicle before 10 PM without leaving will receive a 60” TV! As long as you are at the Autoplex before 7 AM and buy a vehicle from our large selection of Ford, Lincoln, Hyundai, Mazda, Nissan, or Pre-Owned inventory, then you will have yourself a brand new TV.

I want to take you back to last month, which was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and a crazy time for Preston Automotive Group. We decided to partner up with the American Cancer Society (ACS) and committed to donating $50 for every vehicle sold at any one of our nine locations all month long. We also got our three body shops involved and committed 2% of their sales during the month of October to our overall ACS donation. Preston Automotive Group has been a huge supporter of Breast Cancer Awareness as it has affected many of our own employees and families, and this donation campaign was our way of showing that they were not fighting alone – we were United For A Cure. (Check out all the facts about the ACS in the infographic below.)
In addition to our donation to the American Cancer society, Preston Automotive Group employees wore “Pink” all month long to show support and for the first time ever, Preston created a pink frog. Customers traditionally receive a green Preston frog with every vehicle purchase. So during October 2014, pink frogs were given to help show support in the fight against Breast Cancer.
Preston Automotive Group also created its first ever “Pink” fleet that consisted of a 2015 Ford Transit, two 2014 Ford Transit Connects, and a 2013 Ford Transit Connect. These vehicles were wrapped in pink to also aide in Breast Cancer Awareness. A 2014 Ford F-150 was also wrapped as this year’s Drive to Inspire vehicle. The Drive to Inspire campaign was started with Comcast Spotlight and Saving Second Base.
As a whole, Preston Automotive Group had a goal of raising a whopping $40,000 for the ACS. To do that we knew we would have to sell a combined 800 cars throughout our nine dealerships. It was a lofty goal, but we knew it could be achieved with hard work. So, with Breast Cancer Awareness Month all wrapped up, we are ready to announce our donation total. We donated a grand total of $38,500 to the American Cancer Society – only falling $1,500 short of our goal. We were still extremely happy with the efforts of our team and customers who helped us get to that amount.
We look forward to doing this again next year and raising even more money and awareness about breast cancer. Until then be on the look out for any one of our “Pink Fleet” Trucks around the Delmarva area and give us a “Honk” to show your support for the fight against breast cancer!
2015 Nissan Rogue at Preston Nissan
The 2015 Nissan Rogue is a fantastic family vehicle and will transport all the kids plus all their gear. Preston Nissan in Hurlock, Maryland, has a couple of these 2015 models on the ground already with plenty more on the way.
This compact crossover is offered in three trim levels: S, SV and SL. Two-row seating is standard on all models, while a third-row is available on the S and SV. The standard equipment on the S model is truly something to get excited over. It comes with keyless entry, 40/20/40 backseat split, 5” display screen, a rearview camera and many more items. For the base model, it has a lot of standard features. The 2015 Rogue at Preston Nissan also comes with a fuel efficient 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. Front-wheel drive is also standard and with that Rogue drivers will achieve 28 combined mpg. That is fantastic for any SUV even a compact crossover like the 2015 Rogue.
One of the 2015 Rogue’s key strengths is the interior. The dashboard layout is phenomenally user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. As on the 2015 Altima, the Rogue’s front seats are a NASA-inspired “zero gravity” design. They make you feel as if you are seated on a cloud, with all the right supports in all the right places.
There are tons of packages buyers can add on to all the standard features if they choose to. The Family Package adds that third-row of seats like previously stated along with run-flat tires. There are also Premium Packages for each of the three trim levels too.

And while that is certainly true, it is not the only thing it’s all about. 2015 Nissan Frontier at Preston Nissan
Although full-size pickup trucks grab most of the headlines in the U.S., not everyone needs all of the capabilities of these large vehicles. That is where the 2015 Nissan Frontier comes in. It’s considered a compact-to-midsize pickup where as something like the F-150 is a full-size pickup truck. Truth is, the Frontier sometimes fits the needs of consumers better than full-sizers. Here at Preston Nissan in Hurlock, MD, we know the needs of our customers who have come from over 3,600 zip codes in the United States and abroad!
The 2015 Nissan Frontier is offered in two body styles: Extended and Crew Cab, with the Extended Cab being referred to as the King Cab. Crew Cab comes with a standard 5’ bed or optional 6.1’ bed; while the King Cab comes standard with the longer of the two beds. Where you get limited options on the body style, you get many options in terms of trim levels: S, SV, Desert Runner, Pro-4X and SL.
The base model, S, comes with a minimal amount of standard features including front bucket seats, rear privacy glass, and cloth upholstery. As you move up to the SV you get keyless entry and a 5” display screen, with many more optional features. These are the two base models of the 2015 Nissan Frontier which can be found at the Preston Autoplex in Hurlock, Maryland.
The next step up is the Dessert Runner, which has a pretty cool name and adds some pretty cool things. It receives upgraded high-performance shock absorbers and off-road tires. These advancements are made for those who will actually be taking this truck off-roading. Same thing goes for the next model: The Pro-4X. This has the works; off-road tires, a locking rear differential, underbody skid plates and a 5.8’ infotainment system. The Pro-4X has consistently made the top of the list of best off-road vehicles. Finally, the top trim, the SL, loses all the off-road equipment but retains the Luxury Package, which includes a sunroof, side steps into the cabin, and leather wrapped steering wheel.
The 2015 Nissan Frontier at Preston Nissan is offered with a choice of two engines. The 2.5-liter four-cylinder comes standard in the Extended Cab S and SV models; whereas the other models all come with the more powerful 4.0-liter V6. EPA-estimated fuel economy for each engine is right around 19mpg, which isn’t terribly appealing to buyers. However, if the manual transmission is chosen it ups the miles per gallon to an average of 21.
There are a lot of configurations for the 2015 Nissan Frontier, but bottom line – there is no compact or midsize truck better than this one. It offers superior everyday drive-ability and even more exceptional off-road driving abilities. 10 Best Cars of 2015
Car and Driver has just released their list of the 10 Best Cars of the 2015 Class. There are about 150 new cars released every year, so to be in the Top 10 is a huge honor. Here at Preston Automotive we are proud to say that we sell three of the top 10 in this list.
First one we’ll highlight is the 2015 Ford Mustang. There has certainly been a ton of buzz about the Mustangs because they just recently made their way to dealers across the country. Here at Preston Ford in Hurlock, Maryland, we have a handful of these American Roadsters and will certainly be getting more in over the next few months. One of the biggest reasons for all the hype is the updated suspensions, front and rear. Previous models of this car were said to have an awfully bouncy rear end. Even the smallest of bumps in the road made for an uncomfortable ride. So, Ford seems to have taken that feedback to heart and put an independent rear suspension on the new 2015 ‘Stangs. Once they did that, they found the front suspension could not work in harmony with the upgraded rear – so they changed the front too.
The next two cars that made Car and Driver’s Top 10 list are actually Mazda’s! First is the Mazda3. Mazda has recently been churning out great cars, and 2015 will seemingly be no different. The 2015 Mazda3 is sleek, stylish, and fun to drive. The Mazda3 is a part of the compact sedan or hatchback category and we have tons here at Preston Mazda in Hurlock, Maryland. The Mazda3 will achieve about 30MPG city and over 40MPG highway! Plus you can seat 5 people with all of their gear as well. It’s a fun little sporty car that should be at the top of anyone’s list.
Finally, the 2015 Mazda6 at Preston Mazda is the third car to make the top ten list. The 2015 Mazda6 has a distinct sporty design, outstanding fuel economy, and tons of options. One of the optional items available in the 2015 Mazda6 Grand Touring is i-Eloop. This is an energy capture system and stands for Intelligent Energy Loop. What this new technology does is stores energy captured during deceleration and uses it for things such as lighting, AC, etc. With this available technology package the Mazda6 Grand Touring has topped out at over 40mpg highway!

2015 Nissan Altima at Preston Nissan
There’s no better way to say it: The 2015 Nissan Altima is a “just right” sedan for anybody in the market. The 2015 Altima at Preston Nissan in Hurlock, MD, is fuel efficient, great for families, and very stylish, but that only begins to describe this new sedan. We break this vehicle down to give you the best review possible, so you can make an educated decision on your next new vehicle from Preston Automotive!
The 2015 Altima comes in two main configurations: 2.5 or 3.5. Those numbers signify which engine is in each model. For example, the base model comes with the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, thus making it a 2.5 model. However, both the 2.5 and 3.5L V6 engines produce class leading fuel economy. This car is absolutely amazing and right now we have over 50 on the ground at Preston Nissan.
You can even get this amazing sedan in three different trim levels: S, SV and SL. The S trim comes with full power accessories, a 4.3-inch LCD information display in the gauge cluster, and keyless ignition and entry. If you like the smaller, more fuel efficient 2.5L engine but want the top line SL model – you can do that! You could pair either engine with any trim level on the 2015 Nissan Altima. That allows for a lot of customization and personalization. For example, the 3.5 SV and SL models are equipped with everything the 2.5s have, but the 3.5s add the Convenience and Technology packages standard. The Technology package is perhaps the most exciting with the addition of the 7” touchscreen, automatic temperature-sensing climate/defrosting functions, as well as upgraded safety features.
Now, that is another thing worth highlighting: the safety features. The 2015 Nissan Altima received a perfect 5/5 stars for crash protection – both frontal and total side impact safety. All models come with anti-lock brakes – which stopped the 3.5s from 60 mph over 10 feet shorter than the class average – stability and traction control, and front and side curtain airbags. Other notable safety options include a rearview camera and blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and lane-departure warnings on the side mirrors. Once you actually have these safety features save you from an accident you will wonder how you even got around without them!
The interior is also very impressive. Drivers and passengers should have no problem finding their comfort zone in the NASA-inspired “zero gravity” front seats. They are remarkably well-shaped and supportive to any body type. These seats are included as standard on all models too. When you get up to the top trim level, the SL, you also get all leather seats, front and back. It’s an amazing sedan that would make a great new car for your family!

Veterans served our country with selfless fortitude. Whether it was in the First World War, Second World War, Korean War, Vietnam War, or any other war in our history, the Veterans of our Armed Services have been the ones keeping us safe; so today we salute them.
Did you know that Veterans Day was first called Armistice Day back in 1919? Armistice of course means an agreement made by opposing sides in a war to stop fighting; in other words, a truce. The first celebration of Armistice Day, November 11, 1919, marked the one year anniversary of the end of WWI, and was put in place to applaud those who risked their lives in that war. However, it wasn’t made a federal holiday until 1938. And in 1954, President Dwight D. Eisenhower amended the holiday to include all veterans.
Did you know that Veterans Day wasn’t always on the 11th of November? It started
out as the 11th, as previously stated, and is currently the 11th but wasn’t always like that. For a period of ten years, from 1968-78, Veterans Day was changed to the 4th Monday in October. The petty reason for that was to give Federal Officers a three day weekend. Today, all Federal Offices and most schools are off in observance of Veterans Day.
Did you know that Veterans Day in the US is shared with many other country’s celebrations. There were 19 countries that fought with the Allies in WWI and most – if not all – have celebrations on November 11th to honor their Veterans. For instance, this year, the UK is celebrating 100 years since the start of WWI with a big ceremony and moment of silence in London.
Finally, did you know that many places give out Military Discounts to Active Duty Members and Veterans on Veterans Day? This year restaurants such as Denny’s, Olive Garden, and others are giving out free or discounted meals to Veterans with Military ID’s. Specifically here at the Preston Autoplex we have a $500 Military Discount that we run every day on every car on the lot.
