There are roughly 3,300 Ford dealerships across the whole United States, and Preston Ford has a history of dominating the Top 100 dealerships. Ending the year at 93rd in 2010 and then placing 89th in 2011, Preston Ford was off to a red-hot start during the Top 100 Sales Drive. In 2013, they finished 90th in the nation before making a huge jump to 72nd in 2014. Last year, Preston Ford ended the year 79th in the whole country. The objective for December was becoming 1st in the region and cracking the top 10 nationwide. We killed that goal by ending up 1st in the region and 7th in the country for the month while placing 63rd in the whole nation for the year.

The 2017 Ford Super Duty Has Arrived
The 2017 Ford Super Duty just touched down at Preston Ford. Sporting a brand new steel frame, accompanied by an all-aluminum body and bed, the 2017 Super Duty is rocking a new look. This new look keeps true to what made the F-Series the most popular truck series of all time while having a boatload of new features that have been added for the modern driver.
The Super Duty has been improved under the hood as well, in addition to being aesthetically revamped. Come to Preston Ford and take a look under the hood of the 2017 Super Duty. The 6.2L Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 has been reconfigured and improved for this new generation of Super Duty models. The 6.7L Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 has been redone with minor improvements that work together to bring the driver an engine that has the power anyone needs out of their truck.
We’re talking about a jaw-dropping 440 horsepower, which happens to be leading the Super Duty’s class. Drivers are also granted a total of 925 lb.-ft. of torque. This incarnation of the Super Duty is rated to tow and haul more than ever before, due to the plethora of luxurious high-tech features.
The 2017 Super Duty crew cab utilizes hydraulic rear cab mounts in order to provide the driver with a smooth ride, similar to the ride of a half-ton vehicle as opposed to feeling like the heavy duty truck it really is. Optional adaptive steering and cruise control systems are available for the 2017 Super Duty from Preston Ford as well. Adaptive steering functions to vary the weight ratio to keep you in control. McKenzie Travis Educational Foundation
In January of 2006, our community tragically lost McKenzie Travis in a car accident at the young age of nineteen years old. She is missed by her friends, family, and community every day, which is why the McKenzie Travis Educational Foundation was started. This is a scholarship fund that keeps McKenzie’s memory alive and gives hope for young women of the future. A committee comprised of education and athletic professionals as well as non-family members that knew McKenzie well awards a local female student-athlete this scholarship. This is a way that the community can remember McKenzie that has a positive impact on our community’s sports and education.
Funds for this altruistic cause are raised by purchasing tickets for the 2016 McKenzie Travis Educational Foundation Raffle. The drawing will be held at Preston Ford at noon on December 10th. Punkin Chunkin Returns to Bridgeville, DE
This November 4th to 6th, Punkin Chunkin returns to Bridgeville, DE for the 30th anniversary of Punkin Chunkin. The City of Bridgeville is welcoming Punkin Chunkin back into the community for the first time since 2013. From 8 a.m. to dusk every day that weekend, Bridgeville will be buzzing with the festivities associated with Punkin Chunkin. Don’t miss the catapults and cannons firing pumpkins into the sky all weekend and don’t miss our 4×4 trucks from Preston Nissan in action during the event.
Punkin Chunkin is able to return home because of the assistance provided by Preston Nissan via a number of 4×4 Nissan trucks. Those Preston Nissan 4×4 trucks will be in action, acting as pumpkin chasers, which are runners that are assigned to keep track of the pumpkins. United for a Cure
The Preston Automotive Group is united for a cure the entire month of October, as our stores are banding together in a combined effort to support the fight against breast cancer. Our goal is to not only spread awareness of breast cancer and how to prevent it but also to raise funds for the research and development of a cure for this disease. We are partnering with the American Cancer Society to battle this illness that 1 in 8 women will face in their lifetime. We hope this cause will aid those who have fallen victim to breast cancer by funding research for a cure.

Hyundai Hope on Wheels

Hyundai Hope on Wheels awards over 30 research grants, which total up to nearly $8 million to help research to fight childhood cancer. That money is not just being donated to spread awareness of pediatric cancer, but is actually being donated to research in the battle against this awful disease. Hope on Wheels is also visiting Washington D.C. to advocate for our cause, in addition to holding a thought leaders summit and a national September tour.
Pictures Taken of Rumored Mustang GT500 Prototype
Ford has their target on high performance vehicles such as Chevrolet’s 650 horsepower supercharged Camaro ZL1. What better way to compete with a sports car with such power than by beating Chevrolet at their own game? We’re, of course, talking about the long awaited, much buzzed about Mustang Shelby GT500. Many people mistook the prototypes of the Mustang Shelby GT350 for the GT500 before it was released, but with the GT350 already on the market, the GT500 is the only option yet to be released.
Car and Driver recently snapped some photos of a prototype that Ford is testing out. Rumor has it, with multiple clues supporting this theory, that this prototype is much sought after Mustang GT500. This version of the Mustang is the only current generation Mustang that is expect that has not been revealed yet. This Mustang is rumored to completely blow the similarly priced ZL1 out of the water and put Ford back on top when it comes to the horsepower wars.
The distinguishing feature of the GT500 is the twin-turbocharged V8 engine, which is covered with a brand new front end that is optimized in a way to feed air into the engine. The vehicle features zippered panels above the grill, which can likely be removed to reveal cooling vents. Neither the Mustang GT or the GT350 have this feature that opens up in this fashion. The inverted spars that separate the low air inlet from the outboard brake-cooling ducts give hints that the pictured model may be the GT500.
Fans of the Ford Mustang can look for the Shelby GT500 to hit the market late in 2017 or perhaps 2018. Your friends here at Preston Ford cannot wait for the new Shelby GT500 to get into our stores.
