The Kind of Place Every Community Needs The heart of Preston Automotive Group has always been in the communities we serve. Every initiative we support through Preston Cares is rooted in one simple belief: when we come together, we can create something truly meaningful for the people around us. That’s why we’re incredibly proud to share that we recently donated $25,000 to the Can-Do Playground Project at Hudson Park in Sussex County through our Preston Cares program. A Place Where Every Child Belongs From the moment we learned about this project, we knew it was something special. The Can-Do Playground is being thoughtfully designed as a fully inclusive space where children of all abilities can play side by side. When complete, the playground will feature: Play areas for children ages 2–5 Play areas for children ages 5–12 A swing area A quiet sensory space for children who need a more calming environment For the more than 8,000 children with disabilities in Sussex County, this space will offer something incredibly powerful: the chance to simply be a kid and play without limits. Built by a Community That Cares What makes this project even more meaningful is the passion behind it. The Can-Do Playground is being brought to life by Sussex Rotary Can-Do Playground, Inc., a nonprofit formed by seven local Rotary clubs. Together with the Sussex County Land Trust, they are transforming Stephen P. Hudson Park into a place that will serve families for generations. This will be the fourth inclusive playground created by Sussex County Rotarians, each reflecting their deep commitment to building spaces where everyone feels welcome. Why This Matters to Us At Preston Automotive Group, we often say that it’s not about the cars, it’s about the people. Supporting this playground through our Preston Cares program is a perfect example of that. We believe every child deserves a place to laugh, explore, and connect. A place where differences are not barriers, but part of what makes the experience richer for everyone. From Ashes to Strength: 25 Years Later February 1, 2000, is a date forever etched in the history of Preston Automotive Group. On that fateful day, a devastating fire tore through our dealership, leaving much of our operations in ruins. What could have been a moment of despair became a defining chapter of resilience, strength, and unwavering commitment from our team and the incredible community that rallied around us. In the wake of the fire, we faced what seemed like a daunting challenge. Yet, through determination, teamwork, and the support of our loyal customers and neighbors, we rebuilt stronger than ever. The experience reaffirmed our belief that Preston Automotive Group is not just a business; it is a family deeply woven into the fabric of the community we serve. The brave firefighters who responded without hesitation were at the heart of that fateful day. Twenty-five fire departments from across the region came together, risking their safety to protect our people and property. Their selflessness and courage turned the tide, ensuring that what was lost could one day be rebuilt. Our story might have taken a very different turn without their swift and heroic actions. As we mark the 25th anniversary of the fire, we do so with gratitude. In honor of the men and women who answered the call that day, we proudly announce that Preston Automotive Group has donated $2,500 to each of the 25 responding fire departments. While no monetary gift can truly match their bravery, we hope this contribution serves as a small token of our deep appreciation for their dedication to keeping our communities safe. Each department played a crucial role in responding to the emergency, and we are deeply grateful for their bravery and dedication to keeping our communities safe. This anniversary is not just about remembering the fire. It is about honoring those who protect us daily and recognizing the importance of resilience, generosity, and perseverance. As we look to the future, we do so with a renewed sense of purpose, forever grateful for the support that has shaped who we are today. Preston Automotive Group is thrilled to announce it proudly sponsored the 9 th Annual Crush Out Cancer event. An event that brings together communities from Delaware and surrounding states to celebrate survivors of cancer. Restaurants from Delaware and Maryland were able to sponsor and feature different food and drink specials to go towards Cancer Support Community Delaware (CSCDE). 50% of all sales went to the foundation to ensure that no one faces cancer alone! Preston Automotive Group is committed to supporting its communities. We believe in the importance of giving back and creating strong relationships with local businesses and organizations. Rob Childs, Chief Marketing Officer at Preston Automotive Group shared, “Breast cancer has impacted several of our Preston Automotive Group family members and teaming up with local businesses like Big Chill Beach Club and supporting the tremendous efforts by Cancer Support Community DE was a great way to be out in the community together. We can’t thank CSCDE enough for all they do!” In addition to sponsoring the event, Preston Automotive Group had multiple staff members in attendance along with a table featuring exclusive merchandise including a special ‘Enter to Win’ giveaway! PAG's Commitment to Health & Safety At Preston Automotive Group, we are proud to announce the installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) at all 26 of our locations, including the iFrog Building. This initiative comes in memory of Mike Bullis, our company's beloved Service Director, who tragically passed away from cardiac arrest last September. We have partnered with local fire departments to provide training on the proper use of AEDs for its employees. This commitment to employee and customer safety builds upon our long-standing support for the American Heart Association (AHA). Notably, in February, the iconic green Frog turns red in recognition of the AHA. Pansy Wilson, Dave's mother, and longtime nurse, helped choose this color and organization while working to educate the community on heart health. Since 2014, we've consistently supported the AHA, raising funds through various initiatives. In February of this year, PAG held a special donation week in Mike's honor, generating an impressive $11,750 for the AHA. The funding for the AED installation project goes beyond the February donation week. In a joint effort, we were able to secure an additional $40,500 through a combination of car sales in December and a dedicated sales push driven by the company's Top 60 team. Notably, the Top 60 Sales Drive logo subtly incorporated the initials "MB" within the iconic frog design, further honoring Mike's memory.

A New Beginning Already a Ford Motor Company Top Volume Dealer Hall of Fame inductee, Wilson has been named the next Chairman of the National Ford Dealer Council at the company’s annual meeting on November 6 in Dearborn, MI. Wilson, who is the Founder and Chairman of Preston Automotive Group (PAG), iFrog Marketing Solutions, and also holds vested interests in numerous other businesses across the Delmarva area, was previously Vice Chairman for the Dealer Council. "I am honored and humbled to serve Ford and the Ford Dealer Body,” said Wilson. “Together, we will continue to build on Ford’s truck leadership, Ford Blue, Ford Pro, and Model e. It’s an exciting time, and Ford's product lineup is second to none, in my opinion.” Wilson succeeds Tim Hovik, Owner/General Manager of Top 100 Ford dealer San Tan Ford in Gilbert, Ariz. Edward Marcel Stivers III was named the Vice Chairman alongside Wilson. “The National Dealer Council Chair position is so critical to our engagement with our dealer network,” said Andrew Frick, President, Ford Blue. “Dave, in this role, will represent the voice of nearly 3,000 Ford dealers across the country. I think Dave is perfectly positioned to have this role, as he is a very successful Ford dealer, and has eight Ford dealerships of different sizes that truly reflect the structure of the entire network. The Future is Bright “Dave’s approach of working together to drive our business forward is so important in this very dynamic industry, and I have total confidence in his ability to lead our dealers and work with Ford to improve our position in the market with a focus on our customers,” added Frick. The Ford National Dealer Council represents all Ford dealerships in the United States, and works closely with Ford Motor Company, Model e (electric vehicle division of Ford), Ford Credit, and Ford Pro. The elected council’s objective is to enhance customer experience at Ford dealers and seek innovative ways to evolve sales and service offerings for the brand. Wilson became a first-generation dealer at age 22 when he founded PAG and the original Preston Ford location in Preston. “PAG is a family business that I am proud to say my family heavily participates in, and we also feel like every PAG associate is part of our family,” said Wilson. “The opportunity to serve as Chair of the Ford Dealer Council is a testament to their hard work, as well.” Caring for Our Community The familiar Preston emblem can be seen on cars throughout the Shore. Here at Preston Automotive Group, we are heartbroken to hear that our dear friend Nathan Silpath of Galena passed away after an eight-year battle with cancer Tuesday, Jan. 9. Nathan, 17, was an inspiration to our local community and we were always glad to see him. Nathan was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma — a rare form of bone cancer — in 2010. Rather than let that news deter him from enjoying his life, he chose to use his diagnosis as fuel to help other people and spread awareness about what it truly means to be afflicted by cancer. He became a member of the American Cancer Society, participated in the Relay For Life and was the face of the Delmarva Broadcasting Company’s 2011 Help Our Kids Radiothon; an annual two-day fundraiser to benefit the Nemours Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children. Through all of this, he underwent three relapses and tragically contracted lung cancer and leukemia. He suffered a final relapse of leukemia in December 2017. Nathan’s good work helped many people from all walks of life and brought hope wherever he went. We at Preston Automotive Group wanted to do what we can to honor and celebrate his life. That is why we will be donating $100 to Nathan’s Story for every car that is sold at our dealerships from Thursday, Jan. 11 to Saturday, Jan. 13. This is an organization that the Silpath family started to document how Nathan handled his journey with cancer and to inspire others who are similarly affected by this terrible illness through fundraisers and more. According to its Facebook page, one mission of Nathan’s Story is to “see the good that can come from people coming together to fight this terrible disease.” We encourage all of our customers and everyone in the community to come out to one of our locations or visit the organization’s Facebook page, to find out what you can do to help this organization. The Preston Automotive Group would like to wish the North Caroline Lady Bulldogs softball team good luck when they play for the 2A Maryland State Championship at the University of Maryland on May 26th. These great athletes will go toe-to-toe with South Carroll for the right to call themselves the top 2A softball team in the State. The Lady Bulldogs have been absolutely dominating this year, reaching a jaw-dropping record of 23-0, including their most recent win coming in the State semi-finals against the Eastern Technical Mavericks at Bachman Park. The contest was close, as the Bulldogs edged out the competition 3-2 behind the powerful bat of Megan Robbins and the speedy legs of Ali Ward. Robbins knocked in all three of those runs including Ward’s winning run. This huge win came after the Lady Bulldogs pulled out wins against powerhouses such as Queen Anne’s, Easton, and Rising Sun. The Lady Bulldogs’ road to the state championship finals has been nothing short of extraordinary, and your friends here at the Preston Automotive Group wish nothing but more success for the Lady Bulldogs in their quest for gold.
