HND-9 Hyundai Motor Company unveiled a striking two door concept coupe called the HND-9 which is on display at the 2013 Seoul Motor Show!  The carmaker’s luxury sports coupe concept hints at the second generation Genesis Coupe which will come out in the 2014 or 2015 Model Year. HND-9 The HND-9 concept was styled at Hyundai’s research and development center in Namyang, Korea the latest concept measures 4,695mm long, 1,890mm wide, 1340mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2860mm.  The dramatic exterior represents an evolution of the well known “Fluidic Sculpture” design philosophy which has been implemented to all the latest Hyundai models. The exterior design of the HND-9 features a long hood with the wide Hyundai hexagonal signature grille and sleek side character lines with Lamborghini-like butterfly doors.  The vehicle also incorporates futuristic dual tailpipes which are placed on each side of the rear bumper.  Twenty-two inch alloy wheels complete the futuristic look of the HND-9 sports coupe concept. The luxurious interior features a plethora of high tech features and was designed to offer functionality and optimized for dynamic driving.  The HND-9 is fitted with sporty seats which project different colors depending on the angle they are seen from. The Hyundai HND-9 sports coupe concept sits on a rear wheel drive platform which will be used as a base for the forth coming second generation Hyundai Genesis Coupe Underneath the hood of the HND-9 concept lies a highly advanced 3,3L T-GDI turbocharged engine with a maximum output of 370 horsepower. With the highly potent V6 engine is an 8-speed automatic transmission which sends the power from the engine to the rear wheels. HCD-14 Another concept car is the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis concept.  This concept car points directly to the next Genesis premium sedan.  As with the current Genesis, the HCD-14 Genesis uses the well known 5.0 liter Tau V-8 engine.  In the concept the engines fire up as soon as the car acknowledges the driver using an optical recognition system.  The concepts ceramic lined exhaust system is tuned for minimum back pressure at rpm and to emit a baritone roar. HCD-14 The HCD-14 Genesis is also filled with some electronic innovations that help the driver focus on the road rather than the controls.  It is equipped with a system that tracks the movement of the driver’s eyes and hands.  This concept car has exceptionally clean interior with flowing lines and beautifully sculptured surfaces.  Milled wood provides contemporary luxury accents.
